Transportation & Student Drivers

 

BUS TRANSPORTATION
Bus transportation is always provided for all students from Bay, Rocky River and Westlake to and from West Shore Career-Tech at Lakewood High School. Buses run on every day that LHS is in session.

Bus transportation is also provided to all students, including those from LHS and FSO, to work/training sites for our Construction Trades, Health Careers and Early Childhood Education programs. These buses run to/from LHS to the sites.

STUDENT DRIVERS
Students from Bay, Rocky River and Westlake that choose to transport themselves to/from West Shore must complete the following steps PRIOR to driving themselves to West Shore. (LHS students should follow Lakewood High School rules in regards to driving & parking regulations.)

STEP 1:
Make sure you have all the necessary documents listed below, to complete the application.

  1. Completed West Shore Student Transportation Waiver 

  • This was provided in the Info Guide

  • Please note that Student, Parent/Guardian and Home Principal signatures are required

  1. Scan or picture of Valid Driver's License

  2. Scan or picture of current proof of auto insurance

  3. Make, model, year, color and license plate # of the car you will drive to/from West Shore

     

STEP 2:
Follow the link below to complete the application via PaySchools

  1. Please read all the guidelines listed

  2. Click on ‘Purchase’

  3. Select ‘1’ Parking Application

  4. Fill in the required information

  5. At the bottom you will upload the scans or pictures of the required documents 

  6. Click ‘Continue’

  7. Review your information is correct – you have 15 minutes on this page to complete

  8. If you would like a permit to park in the LHS North Lot for students you can pay the $20 + $.75 fee via credit card now and complete the process.

  9. If you do NOT want a permit or plan to pay in cash at the Book Room: Enter CASHPARK in the discount code. You will be able to complete the process with a $0 due at check-out.

If you choose to not purchase a permit you must use street parking, if your vehicle is found in a lot without a permit you will be subject to towing.

Students are NOT allowed to transport any other students in their vehicle, if caught, you risk having your driving privileges revoked.

COMMUNITY-BASED PROGRAMS
Transportation for students in our TTW, Gordon Food Service and Wyndham community-based programs is scheduled on an individual basis.
