WEST SHORE CAREER-TECHNICAL DISTRICT

On March 16, The Rotary Club of Lakewood and Rocky River hosted its 28th annual West Shore Career-Technical District Outstanding Student Awards at their weekly luncheon, and honored 14 West Shore students. At this event, Rotary members, educators, and families come together to celebrate student achievements and highlight the value of career-technical education in preparing students for future careers and continued learning.

MEMS students in Columbus expo

Students from our MEMS (micro electro-mechanical systems) program participated in the annual Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE) Legislative Showcase on Feb. 4 in Columbus. The event brought together representatives from 44 districts across Ohio and offered an opportunity for selected career-technical programs to share their work with state legislators and education leaders.

 A Look at Our Two New Programs

Our new MEMS (Micro-Electromechanical Systems) and Welding programs are giving students hands-on access to industry-level technology, real-world problem-solving, and skills that can launch them straight into high-demand careers after graduation. From working with cutting-edge equipment to earning valuable certifications, students are stepping into programs that open doors—to college pathways, skilled trades, and high-paying jobs.
